THE COMPETITION JUST GOT BETTER—Our tournaments deliver. Established in 1970, BCI has an excellent reputation for strong competition, first class facilities, and the best organized tournaments in the country.
GLOBAL—Over 10,000 teams representing over 40 states, in addition to teams from five provinces of Canada and Mexico, as well as Australia and Scotland have played BCI.
OFFICIAL—BCI Summer Nationals are NCAA - sanctioned tournaments for players age 14 and older. Sanctioning provides the opportunity for players to be seen by Division I college coaches, plus lower-division college coaches and scouts.
PROFESSIONAL—BCI's alumni include more than 150 players that have gone on to the next level (NBA /WNBA).
P.T.—BCI believes in every player. That is why it’s stated in our rules that every player plays. Being on a team is not enough. BCI believes that all players make up the team and therefore all players should play. Being at a national tournament and receiving playing time can make a major impact in a player’s personal confidence.
CHARACTER—We take our standard of conduct for coaches, players, parents and families of players seriously. We believe the atmosphere in which young people are surrounded should be a positive environment that promotes sportsmanship. This code of conduct protects the dignity of players, coaches and referees, and promotes a mutual respect among all participants and fans.
SAFETY—BCI upholds a Safekids Program—which further protects the players in our tournaments. BCI makes every reasonable effort to ensure that every person involved in coaching/training has no record or history of child abuse or being sex offenders, or any other record that would bring unnecessary risk to the health and safety of the participants. Each coach at our national tournament must also be registered with the NCAA. |
